Poor Man’s Collage
I used to have so called “poor men’s Latte” in Costa just across the street from my high school. I ordered a large coffee and added ton of skim milk with chocolate. It’s funny that the tolerance of Costa workers seems much higher than those in Starbucks.
I was walking out of Olin Lib today and saw those booklets with graphs and words in it. Trying out all the classes I wanna go has made me a bit balmy, yet I still grabbed one. I am saving for bunch of stuff, camera, Mac, cute shoes, mostly for my parents, but I still wanna decorate my too-empty walls — posters are of ridiculous prices.
That’s basically how the idea of Poor Men’s Collage comes from. I tore this 15-page booklet apart and rearranged graphs using a stapler and black tapes (inconveniently sticky yet solid on the wall).
Minimum PS, just cropping/rotating/adding a frame.
01 the Hatchet
The 1st yearbook of Wustl on the background of red (the inner cover of the booklet). Just found the pattern classy.
02 Dragon Tattoo (my Fav among the set)
two separate pages bond together. Luv the tone. i assume the figure in the 1st page is a bad-ass tomboy who killed the dragon in cold blood. EPIC
03 the Haunting Owl
the Owl pic depicts one of the mythical creatures in some Wustl building; the train pic is the one depicting Saint Louis 100-ish years ago;
04 Pulp Fiction
dunno what’s the 1st pic is about but felt it pretty flashy– so I matched it with some modern manuscript;
05 State of Mind vs. “Liberty”
Wish me Good luck on rush for DSP~~
